The Clark County Council has appointed a new member to the county Planning Commission.
The council appointed Aldo Veranzo to a vacant position on the seven-member commission. Veranzo’s term will last through Dec. 31, 2022.
The La Center resident has more than 25 years of program management experience and has worked for software companies. A Gonzaga University alumnus, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Italian Studies and a master’s degree in Educational Administration and Curriculum.
The commission serves as an advisory board on issues of physical development of land in unincorporated areas of the county. Commissioners review policy proposals with general applicability; specific applicability, such as annual review applications; and, occasionally, those which could be considered quasi-judicial.
