A severe weather alert has been issued by Housing Solution Center and Council for the Homeless for tonight in Clark County.

With temperatures forecasted to dip down to freezing, emergency shelters are asked to expand capacity if needed.

People in need of shelter can call the Housing Hotline for shelter availability at 360-695-9677.

Volunteers are always needed at winter shelters, however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the main focus for volunteers this season is to provide food and meals for the winter hospitality overflow sites of St. Andrew Lutheran Church, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, and Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Information on this is available at https://www.councilforthehomeless.org/winter-shelter-volunteering/
