The Humane Society for Southwest Washington recently appointed two new employees to executive roles. Megan Dennis is the vice president-director of shelter operations and Dr. Lauren Overman was promoted to vice president-director of veterinary services. Dennis most recently served as the executive director at West Columbia Gorge Humane Society. Overman has worked at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington for eight years. She received a bachelor’s degree in conservational biology at Arizona State University and a veterinary medical degree at University California Davis Veterinary Medical School.
The Building Industry Association of Clark County’s state counterpart, the Building Industry Association of Washington, recently announced its board of directors. Clark County board member Tracy Doriot was chosen as the president. Doriot, of Doriot Construction in Vancouver, is an award-winning homebuilder with 43 years in the business. He has served on the Building Industry Association of Clark County’s board of directors since 2007, and was the winner of the Building Industry Association of Washington’s Builder of the Year in 2020.
