Volunteer Opportunities

The city of Vancouver invites volunteers to sign up for a physically distanced spring cleanup of Marine Park Beach from 9 to 11 a.m. Feb. 27. Advanced registration is required. The event is limited to eight participants and will follow all state COVID-19 safety protocols. Please bring your own mask, water bottle and snack. Clark County CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocate, is hosting a one-hour informational webinar for interested volunteers or community members who want to learn more about the program. The next session will be held at 6 p.m. Feb. 24. CASA volunteers advocate for the best interest of children who have come into the state’s care as a result of abuse, neglect or abandonment. The Fort Vancouver Lions Club is sponsoring a food drive to benefit the Clark County Food Bank. Drop-off donations will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 13. The drop-off site will be in the parking lot of Living Hope Church, 2711 N.E. Andresen Blvd. (formerly Kmart). Please donate nonperishable food and personal hygiene items.
