Dylan Simonson scored on a 2-yard run on the second play of the third overtime for Ilwaco, lifting the Fishermen to a Southwest 2B League win.
Both teams scored touchdowns in the second quarter. Jackson Krog scored on a 1-yard run for Stevenson, and Jackson Wilkin had a 3-yard TD run for Ilwaco.
The game remained tied through regulation. Ilwaco got the ball to the 1-yard line in its second overtime, but Stevenson’s defense held to force a third overtime.
Stevenson got to the Ilwaco 2 in the third overtime, but could get no farther. Then Simonson ran for 8 yards, setting up his 2-yard TD run for the win.
