Local and federal agents have arrested a 44-year-old man who allegedly doused man and a car with gasoline and set them both on fire last summer, according to the Vancouver Police Department.

The Vancouver Police Department Major Crimes Team and members of the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force arrested Rick LHW “Left Handed Wolf” Stone, also known as Rick Kelly, on a Clark County Superior Court warrant alleging first degree attempted murder and first degree arson, according to a police statement.

The statement said the arrest stems from a July 2, 2020, incident in a parking lot at 2901 N.E. Saint Johns Blvd. in Vancouver. Police responding to a reported vehicle fire there found a 63-year-old man suffering from burns.

Witnesses told investigators that the man had been sitting in his vehicle when another man approached him and poured gasoline on both him and the car. When the man got out of the car, his assailant lit the vehicle on fire. Flames spread to the man, who had to be hospitalized for his burn injuries.

Stone was booked into the Clark County Jail, the statement said. No further details were released.
