Clark County recorded three new deaths from COVID-19 on Thursday as the daily number of new cases remained low, according to Clark County Public Health.

The fatalities included two women in their 70s and one woman age 80 or older, according to Public Health. All three had underlying conditions.

The deaths bring the county’s total from COVID-19 to 192. Ten deaths have been reported from COVID-19 since Friday. There were 16 deaths reported the previous week.

Public Health reported 50 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of cases in Clark County to 17,290 to date. A lab processing delay this week has led Public Health to caution that daily numbers might be understating the actual number of positive tests. If the numbers are correct, the county would be experiencing about 72 new cases a day, down from an average of about 94 cases the previous week.

There were 529 active cases in Clark County on Thursday, counting people with COVID-19 who are still in their isolation period, according to Public Health.

Hospitalizations held steady, with 47 people hospitalized with COVID-19, the same as Wednesday, while the number of people hospitalized awaiting test results fell to two, down from seven .

The percentage of occupied licensed ICU beds rose slightly to 89.1 percent, up from 87.5 percent Wednesday. How many of those beds were occupied by COVID-19 patients was not available.
