Woman found dead along I-5 near La Center ID’d

A woman who was killed Sunday after she was hit by a car on Interstate 5 in Southwest Washington has been identified, authorities said.

Washington State Police said Kendra Fain, 33, of Sutherlin in Southern Oregon, was in the freeway when she was hit by a vehicle north of La Center in Clark County. The driver, who was traveling south, remains unknown, troopers said.

Troopers have not disclosed why Fain was in the roadway. She was pronounced dead by emergency crews who responded to reports of the crash.
