Battle Ground citizen nominations due soon

The deadline for nominations for Battle Ground’s Citizen of the Year award is fast approaching.

The nomination committee said another unusual year has made it difficult to see all the good works happening in the community and it is instead relying on residents to help identify individuals to be recognized.

Battle Ground Citizen of the Year is a time-honored tradition, and recipients receive recognition in many ways, from riding in the annual Harvest Days Parade to having a rose planted in their honor by the Royal Rosarians of Portland.

Individuals, couples or groups may be nominated. To submit a nomination, go to www.tinyurl.com/22y7dhn8 for a nomination form.

Nominations will be accepted until Dec. 31. For more information, go to Facebook.com/BattleGroundCitizenOfTheYear.
