On the morning of Dec. 12, employees and volunteers with Lifeline Connections Recovery Resource Center will distribute wool socks, scarves, hand warmers, gloves, protein bars, hand sanitizer, sleeping bags, blankets, basic toiletries and more to people experiencing homelessness in the Vancouver area.
The organization needs donations of the above-mentioned items. Between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, donations will be accepted at the Recovery Resource Center, 9317 N.E. Highway 99, Suite M; and at the Recovery Café Clark County, 3312 E. Fourth Plain Blvd., Suite 100.
“With the continued increase in the cost of living and economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the homeless population continues to climb and so do their needs,” Lifeline Connections spokesperson Linda Poitras said in a press release.
People interested in volunteering can contact the Recovery Resource Center directly at 360-397-8246, ext. 30903, 360-334-5833 or info@lifelineconnections.org.
