ARNADA — A traffic- calming street mural at the intersection of D Street and 21st Street got a needed upgrade on Aug. 20 and 21 as volunteers cleaned the pavement and repainted the colorful display, which is aimed at encouraging drivers to slow down and enjoy the artwork rather than speed through the neighborhood.
The annual street-painting party had been put on hold last year due to the coronavirus pandemic, so organizers said this project was overdue.
