A grease fire at Goldie’s Texas Style BBQ on Thursday morning didn’t cause any damage to the equipment or the building, but it did burn a good amount of meat that was smoking, according to a manager at Goldie’s.
“It could have been worse,” he said.
The fire initiated a response from fire crews around 7 a.m., but it was under control within about 40 minutes, according to emergency radio scanners monitored by The Columbian.
Goldie’s, 15640 N.E. Fourth Plain Blvd., was open Thursday after the small fire.
