Oh boy, it sure seems like summer quickly passed the baton to autumn as cool conditions persisted over the weekend with highs in the upper 60s to near 70 and overnight lows into the chilly category. Early Monday morning Vancouver dipped to 45 degrees, the coldest since May 21. However, not close to the record of 38 degrees in 1973.
There were lows in the 30s in the outlying areas like Yacolt and Battle Ground. Won’t be long before there will be frost on pumpkins. Oh wait, that is still a ways off, isn’t it?
We rise into the low 80s today and then cool off into the 70s the rest of the week. A weak weather system slides by overnight Wednesday to our north with clouds and perhaps spotty drizzle here and there.
Computer models are still deciding whether we get hot this weekend or not. Will it be 85 degrees or 90 degrees? Flip a coin at this point. The extended outlook is out for the first week of September and it continues our near to below average temperatures. Keeps us mainly dry as well. So once again, like a broken record, no soaking rains or excessive heat on the horizon.
