CENTRAL PARK — Lifeline Connections, a mental health and substance-abuse organization, recently selected Vanessa Gaston to receive its Award of Excellence, while Jackie Mitchell Received the Community Partner Award.
Gaston is the director of Clark County Community Services and was recognized for being “instrumental in helping the community build behavioral health treatment capacity,” as well as helping secure funding for a new Crisis Triage and Stabilization Program.
Mitchell is a behavioral health program specialist with the Whatcom County Health Department and was “selected because of the key role she played in bringing a low-intensity residential treatment recovery house to Bellingham,” a news release said.
