5-year-old dies from injuries sustained in Thursday I-5 crash

A 5-year-old boy died Friday from injuries sustained in a Thursday crash on Interstate 5. The crash killed one other person and injured two others.

Logan Slater died at 12:40 p.m. Friday, according to a Saturday news release from Washington State Patrol.

Early Thursday, Patricia C. Slater, 35, of Longview crashed her car into a Washington State Department of Transportation attenuator truck on Interstate 5 north of Vancouver.

Patricia Slater died at the scene. Two other children were injured and transported to a hospital.

The crash is still under investigation by the Washington State Patrol.
