Justice Florendo’s graduation celebrated

HAZEL DELL — Justice Florendo, the head male dancer for several recent Native American Pow Wow events held at Heritage High School, was honored July 17 with a ceremony at Hazel Dell Park.

Florendo, 18, graduated from Hudson’s Bay High School and will attend Southern Oregon University in Ashland, where he hopes to study business and photography. His sister, Felicia Florendo, sang him a song as part of the ceremony.

Florendo’s parents are Brent Florendo and Teresa Montana. He is of Eastern Cherokee-Paint Clan, Wasco, Yakama and Hawaiian descent.
