Parents and guardians of students in Vancouver Public Schools may request their child transfer into or out of the district for the 2021-22 school year starting May 3.
Families in VPS boundaries seeking a school outside the district can complete the district’s out-of-district choice transfer form on its website and, if possible, visit the child’s school to withdraw.
Families also can ask their new school to initiate the withdrawal process. Families entering VPS who live outside the boundaries need to complete a PDF out-of-district choice transfer form and send it to the school district that serves their address.
Families can expect to hear within 45 days whether the transfer is approved.
