Suzanne Cooper was named senior vice president of power services at the Bonneville Power Administration. She previously was vice president of bulk marketing since 2011. Cooper succeeds Joel Cook, who was promoted to chief operating officer. Cooper will be responsible for BPA’s power scheduling functions, energy efficiency and business relationships with 142 retail utility customers. As chief operating officer, Cook is responsible for the agency’s power and transmission services, as well as its environment, fish and wildlife and customer support services organizations. Cooper has been a member of the agency’s power services management team for 17 years.
Jessica Drake was hired by the Ridgefield School District as its newest administrator. She will serve as the district’s director of alternative learning experiences and business partnerships. She will also oversee the district’s new virtual learning program called Wisdom Ridge Academy. She currently is an assistant principal at Battle Ground High School, where she has been employed since 2008.
Washougal School District’s Communications and Technology Director Les Brown was recognized by the Diligent Corporation’s inaugural Modern Governance 100 Community Boards program, which highlights community leaders committed to driving positive organizational change. Brown’s work at the district has included keeping students, families and staff aware of changes to the learning environment due to the pandemic, and shaping a public information campaign around the district’s closure and phased reopening plans.
Rachel White was hired by the Southwest Washington Contractors Association as an administrator and plans center specialist.
