The Gee Creek rest areas on Interstate 5 in Clark County will close for maintenance next week, according to a press release from the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The northbound and southbound stops, which are located about 1.5 miles apart near the Northeast 219th Street (Exit 11) interchange, will both close from 6 a.m. April 19 until 5 p.m. April 23.
The closure will allow crews to perform annual maintenance work. The stops are among the busiest in the state, according to WSDOT, with more than 1 million annual visitors based on the number of toilet flushes.
