A new Chevron gas station, a convenience store and two commercial buildings are under construction in a long-empty lot near Grand Central, north of state Highway 14.
The gas station, called the Delta Plaza Chevron, at 3223 Columbia House Blvd., doesn’t have an estimated completion date, and the entirety of the project is still under review by the city, according to Kristian Corbin, associate planner for the city of Vancouver.
Plans submitted to the city show about 5 acres will be paved, developed into buildings or landscaped with trees and greenery. The two commercial buildings are 1,340 square feet and 5,070 square feet. About 9,571 square feet will be landscaped, and about 42 parking spaces are included in the plans.
Asghar Sadri owns the property and the development company working on the site, Delta Management.
The company did not immediately respond to The Columbian’s request for more information.
