Workforce Southwest Washington hired Isabella Becerra as a paid summer intern. Becerra is a senior at WSU Vancouver who is studying human development and gerontology. She hopes to become a case manager working with seniors and adults with disabilities. The 200-hour internship, held through the college’s Future Leaders program, will allow her to assist Workforce Southwest Washington with a research project detailing how workers older than 50 are impacted by COVID-19-related job loss.
