Residential trash services canceled due to smoke

Waste Connections Washington has canceled local residential trash pickup today due to the hazardous air quality, which impacts driver safety.

If your garbage is missed today, Waste Connections asks that people set out double their standard amount next Friday. If you have every other week collection, you can set out garbage next Friday for no extra cost.

For Camas customers, who have recycling and yard debris pickup scheduled for today, the routes have also been canceled. Camas customers should also set out double their standard service level of recycling next Friday with no plastic bags.

If your recycle, yard debris, or organics service was missed, set out double your normal service level on the next scheduled service day.

Those who don’t receive pickup today should receive an automated call from Waste Connections that will provide similar information.
