Clark County Public Health reported 18 new COVID-19 cases and no new deaths Wednesday.
The new cases bring the county’s total cases to 2,649 to date, with 51 deaths reported. There are 16 people hospitalized with COVID-19 and six people hospitalized awaiting test results.
New statistics updated this week show that the largest share of new cases were among people in their 20s, with 34 new cases representing 19.4 percent of the weekly change, according to Public Health.
The next largest share was people in their 40s (33 new cases, 18.8 percent of the total), followed by people in their 50s (25 new cases, 14.2 percent of the total).
There were 10 new cases for children younger than age 9 and 18 new cases for children ages 10-19, according to the Public Health data, accounting for 5.7 percent and 10.2 percent of the total for the period.
