Vancouver police are investigating a two-vehicle crash early Thursday in the Fourth Plain Village neighborhood.

Officers were dispatched at 12:56 a.m. to the 2800 block of Grand Boulevard for a crash. Callers reported that two vehicles were involved, and one of them struck a utility pole, Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Kim Kapp said in an email.

When officers arrived, the vehicle believed to have caused the wreck had fled the area. It was later found outside of the city. Police have located the vehicle’s owner but have not determined who was driving at the time of the crash, Kapp said.

“The occupants of the vehicle that struck the utility pole all sustained injuries that at this time appear non-life threatening,” police said.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
