MINNEHAHA — The Clark County Food Bank raised almost $89,000 during the Give More 24! fundraising campaign for charities throughout Clark County on Sept. 24. The funds will help the food bank’s mission to “alleviate hunger and its root causes here in Clark County,” said Holly Jones, director of development at the nonprofit organization. “We are incredibly grateful for the way this community continues to come together to care for the thousands of people facing food insecurity and hunger in our community.” She added that because of the effort, Clark County Food Bank will be able to continue serving families in need during the COVID-19 pandemic, including deliveries, drive-thru distributions and specialty food boxes designed for older adults, children and those without homes. “This community makes this work possible, and we are so grateful to the Community Foundation (for Southwest Washington) and those who gave generously during Give More 24! for making it happen,” Jones said.
