Emergency crews closed all lanes of Interstate 5 north near the La Center exit at 12:38 p.m. Friday.

The Washington State Department of Transportation tweeted that the lane closure was at Exit 18 near the East Fork Bridge.

According to Google maps, there was a crash in the area, north of the East Fork Lewis River. Traffic ended up at a standstill heading into Cowlitz County and backed up south to Pioneer Street in Ridgefield an hour after the lane closure. No other details about the crash were available.

Shortly before 2 p.m., the left and center lanes reopened but WSDOT advised drivers to avoid the area. All lanes opened about 2:15 p.m. and traffic was back to normal by 2:30 p.m.
