A nice break in the weather today after areas of morning fog with mostly sunny skies. Monday begins fair with increasing clouds and, yep, more showers for Tuesday. Another break on Veterans Day and then a stronger storm heading our way Thursday and Friday.
The mountains have finally received enough snow to turn the ground white and get many folks excited for winter activities. Additional snow will fall this week as well. The storm at the end of the week will produce heavy snows in the Cascades. The only drawback will be strong southerly winds ahead of the cold front will raise snow levels above Cascades passes and keep snow above 5,000 feet. Eventually snow levels drop and snow falls back down to Cascade passes.
To sum things up, a little on again off again rain and mountains snows, and if things work out Friday could be a soaker. The temperature drop from last week over the weekend was enough for this guy to switch from a light jacket to a warm cozy fleece-lined jacket. It’s that time of the year for sure.
Last year on this date, we were still in a relatively warm and dry period with highs in the low 60s. This go around we stay in the 40s and continue that way all week, maybe touching the 50-degree mark at times.
