Police are investigating a carjacking and robbery that occurred Thursday night in the Vancouver Plaza parking lot.

Vancouver police officers were dispatched at 6 p.m. to 7809 Vancouver Plaza Drive, specifically the Target parking lot, for a report of a robbery that just occurred.

The victim told police he was in the parking lot loading up his vehicle when a man approached him, pointed a gun, and demanded his phone, wallet and car keys, Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Kim Kapp said.

The suspect — described as being in his late 30s, about 5-feet-10-inches tall with a thin body type — fled in the victim’s vehicle, a two-door, white Mercedes AMG GT, Kapp said.

The victim was uninjured.

Police are continuing to investigate.
