Vancouver police are investigating a shooting overnight Saturday at a rental home in the Ellsworth Springs neighborhood.

Officers responded to the 1300 block of Southeast Nancy Road for a report of a physical disturbance related to a large house party at a short-term rental, police department spokeswoman Kim Kapp said in an email.

Callers also reported hearing gunshots in the area.

Witnesses told police that a man was denied entry into the party, and he started fighting with the host and other guests. At one point, the man fired off shots from a gun before fleeing the area, Kapp said.

Bullets struck the rental home and a car parked in the driveway, as well as a neighbor’s house, according to the police department.

There were no reported injuries.

The police department’s Safe Streets Task Force is continuing to investigate the shooting.
