Skamania Lodge has announced that it will reopen today with new safety measures in place.

The resort, located near Stevenson in Skamania County, closed in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Skamania County recently received clearance to move to Phase 2 of the state’s reopening plan, which allows retail and restaurant spaces to resume limited operations.

Most of the lodge’s outdoor guest activities will resume when it reopens, including the aerial park, axe throwing and zip-lining. The three hiking trails around the lodge will also reopen, along with the 1-mile fitness trail. The lodge will also begin offering guests access to bikes when it reopens. All of the lodge’s overnight guest rooms will be available, including its treehouse cabins.

The lodge will offer takeout options for food and drink at its River Rock Lounge, as well as limited dine-in capacity in accordance with Phase 2 guidelines. More tables have been added to the outdoor Riverview Pavilion space in order to maintain minimum distancing between restaurant tables, according to a press release from the lodge.
