A dozen retailers at the Vancouver Mall have begun offering “Retail To Go” services, according to the mall’s website, although the mall itself remains shuttered due to the novel coronavirus pandemic and Washington’s statewide stay-at-home order.

Jimmy John’s and Outback Steakhouse have begun offering take-out and curbside pickup food service, and Macy’s is offering curbside retail service. All three are using their own direct entrances from the parking lot as pickup points.

Most of the mall’s other tenant stores can only be entered via the internal promenade, which remains closed, but several additional retailers have resumed operations using shared designated pickup locations outside of the mall’s south entrances.

Beyond the Veil Bridal, Morgan’s Jewelers, PLAYlive Nation, Tamia and Vancouver Art Space are using a pickup location at the entrance near Outback Steakhouse. Express Alterations, Pipsqueak Resale Boutique and Los Pepe’s restaurant are using the entrance near Old Navy. Alley Cat Pet Center has also resumed operations, according to the website, but does not have a listed pickup point.

The base hours for Retail To Go are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., although some retailers are using different schedules. Most of the retailers are operating by appointment only or via phone and online orders. A full list of contact and operating information for each retailer can be found on the mall’s website at shopvancouvermall.com.

The mall’s management implemented the temporary closure on March 17, a few days before the statewide stay-at-home order was announced. Multiple retailers had already closed down by that point, and the mall had been operating on reduced hours.

The website states that the mall remains temporarily closed and that the decision to fully reopen will be based on guidance from local government and health officials.

Clark County applied last week to move to Phase 2 of the state’s reopening plan, which would allow limited in-store retail and restaurant service to resume, but the application has been placed on hold following Friday’s news of a large cluster of COVID-19 cases at a Vancouver food processing facility.
