Ogden school secretary wins honors from Educational Service District 112

Ogden Elementary School secretary Traicy Brent was named Educational Service District 112’s Classified School Employee of the Year.

In a district news release, Brent was praised for her “welcoming personality” and “ability to identify with and meet the needs of nearly everyone she encounters on a daily basis.”

Brent, who immigrated to the United States from Panama with her family in 1994, was also acknowledged for her ability create a safe environment for the school’s large Spanish-speaking population.

Brent is one of eight regional educational service district finalists for the statewide award. The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction will announce its winner in the spring.
