The owners of Koi Pond Cellars Winery have announced that they will permanently close their downtown Vancouver bistro due to the impact of the novel coronavirus pandemic.

The Koi Pond Cellars Bistro closed in mid-March due to the state’s stay-at-home order. In a press release, owners Wes and Michelle Parker said they tried to switch to curbside pickup, but found that it wasn’t viable for their business model. The restaurant has lost too much money during the 10-week closure to recover, they said.

The Koi Pond Cellars Winery will remain open and continue to offer wholesale wine to restaurants and stores.
