The Susan G. Komen Oregon and SW Washington More than Pink Walk, or Race for the Cure, will return this year in a virtual manner.
Participants are encouraged to join the walk from their neighborhood, a park, a work campus or any other safe locations.
The walk takes place Aug. 23.
“Nothing is more important than the health and safety of our community. As we look forward to a time when we can come together in person again, we also want to be mindful of the fact that we serve an immunocompromised community,” Komen Oregon and SW Washington CEO Andrew Asato said. “We are doing everything in our power to make this the best event it can be amid the circumstances.”
The goal is to raise $485,000 for breast cancer treatment, patient advocacy, and lifesaving research, according to a press release.
