Clark County jumps to 393 COVID-19 cases

Clark County Public Health confirmed seven new COVID-19 cases and no new deaths Tuesday morning.

There are now 393 confirmed cases in Clark County and 24 deaths. There were 11 new cases and one new death announced Monday, which included tests results from the weekend.

At least 6,286 people have been tested in Clark County.

There are 73 cases associated with Clark County long-term care facilities.

Nine people are hospitalized for coronavirus in Clark County, and three people are in an intensive care unit.

On May 6, Washington broke 7,000 tests per day for the first time. Clark County hit its current testing high, 256 tests, on April 30.

Gov. Jay Inslee wants the state to do between 20,000 and 30,000 tests per day to ease some physical distancing restrictions. The state is supposed to receive large shipments of testing swabs this month and next month, according to the Seattle Times.

Washington has 17,122 confirmed cases, and 945 deaths. More than 252,000 test have been administered, with 6.8 percent returning positive.
