CAMAS — Camas parks will gradually begin reopening today.

As part of the first phase, parking lots and trailheads at all city parks, along with bathroom facilities at Heritage Park, are open, according to a news release from the city.

All other city restrooms and parks facilities — including play structures, sports fields, sports courts and picnic shelters — will remain closed until further notice.

Trails, open grass areas and green spaces have been open throughout the statewide stay-at-home order.

The Heritage Park restroom facilities — and others once they have opened — will be sanitized daily, according to the news release.

Visitors are advised to use them sparingly and keep COVID-19 safety precautions in mind.

Distancing protocols — including keeping 6 feet from those outside of one’s immediate household, regular hand-washing and wearing masks — are advised. Park visitors are also advised to bring their own soap, water and hand sanitizer.

Updated information about the city’s COVID-19 response can be found at cityofcamas.us/ourcommunity/covid-19.
