Nonprofits partner to give out pizzas

ESTHER SHORT — The nonprofit Office Moms & Dads recently worked with Papa Murphy’s Pizza to hand out free pizza in the parking lot of the state Department of Children, Youth & Families. The organization also joined up with the Portland nonprofit Our Giving Table, which has a mission to ensure that children in foster care have access to food. Together the organizations gave out 60 pizzas at a drive-thru setup where volunteers distributed the pizzas through car windows to local foster families. Office Moms & Dads’ mission is to establish sites where children entering foster care transition with minimal trauma. Find out more at officemomsanddads.com.
