Clark County marriage license processing suspended

Clark County will suspend processing of marriage licenses beginning today and lasting until at least April 6, Auditor Greg Kimsey announced Tuesday.

An exception may be made for active-duty military members with immediate orders.

Kimsey said that the suspension is being made in compliance with Gov. Jay Inslee’s orders to cease nonessential work activities to help combat the spread of COVID-19. Applications may still be submitted; they just won’t be processed until the order is lifted.

The auditor’s office is still processing auto licenses by mail or electronically. The walk-in lobby is closed. Some auto license subagents may still be open for face-to-face transactions.
