Gov. Jay Inslee’s order to close restaurants and bars in Washington for an indefinite period of time was a surprise to many. Vancouver Mall will temporarily close starting Thursday due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak. The mall had already been on reduced hours, and some of its biggest retailers temporarily shut their doors earlier this week.

A Clark County Superior Court jury convicted Dustin L. Zapel of two counts of first-degree murder and one count of first-degree attempted murder. Jurors also returned a special verdict, finding that Zapel was armed with a deadly weapon when he committed the crimes.
