Clark County woke up to a dusting of snow Saturday morning, and children rushed out to take advantage of the small accumulation.
The National Weather Service has a winter weather advisory in place until noon. Saturday’s high is expected to be 43.
According to NWS Portland, total snowfall will be up to 2 inches in some areas. The highest accumulations will be in Clark and Multnomah counties at elevations above 500 feet. The weather advisory applies to most of Clark County, the western Columbia River Gorge and the greater Portland-metro area.
Drivers are advised to plan for slippery road conditions early, which should improve later in the day. A mix of rain and snow is expected later in the day.
