The Clark County Auditor’s, Assessor’s and Treasurer’s offices will conduct operations virtually starting Monday due to COVID-19.

The offices took the step “in an abundance of caution,” according to a news release Friday. Officials will reevaluate the closures by April 13.

“The decision to eliminate in-person services wasn’t made lightly. This intervention is necessary to protect the most vulnerable amongst us,” county Treasurer Alishia Topper said.

The county GIS Map Store will also be closed to in-person services. Online applications are available for property owners seeking to apply for the senior or disabled exemption program.

“The safety of our senior population is my top priority, and with the introduction of our senior portal, we are able to continue to serve our taxpayers without unnecessary exposure,” Assessor Peter Van Nortwick said.

Tax payments may be made at www.clark.wa.gov/treasurer/payment-options or by calling 564-397-2252. Senior and disabled exemptions can be found at www.clark.wa.gov/assessor or 564-397-2391.

Marriage license business can be conducted at www.clarkmarriage.org and recording business at www.clarkrecording.org or P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver, Wash., 98666-5000.

“The treasurer, assessor and I are committed to providing excellent service and to keeping our community healthy. Social distancing is the most effective tool we have to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus,” county Auditor Greg Kimsey said.

Additionally, a secure processing drop box has been placed on the first floor of the Public Service Center, which is located at 1300 Franklin St., Vancouver, for daily transactions.

The auditor’s Auto Licensing and Elections offices at 1408 Franklin St. will remain open.
