Clark County Public Health received seven more negative tests for COVID-19 this morning.
Clark County has one confirmed case of COVID-19, 13 negative test results and 10 tests pending. Public Health has three recent travelers under supervision. The agency has more information about COVID-19 on its website at www.clark.wa.gov/public-health/novel-coronavirus.
The first case of COVID-19 in Clark County was announced March 6.
Events all over Washington and in other states have been canceled as the number of cases across the country continues to grow. According to the Associated Press, as of Wednesday evening, 38 people had died in the United States, while more than 1,300 people had tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Thirty of those deaths were in Washington, primarily at a Seattle-area nursing home.
Gov. Jay Inslee has banned gatherings and events of more than 250 people in three Western Washington counties covering hundreds of miles and millions of people. Oregon banned gatherings of more than 250 people statewide.
Washington has more than 360 confirmed cases in at least 12 counties. Twenty-two of the deaths are linked to one suburban Seattle nursing home, and authorities in King County said the virus has spread to at least 10 long-term care facilities.
King County had 234 confirmed cases, Snohomish County reported 75 and Pierce County had 17 cases.
