Owner lists Vancouver coffee cart company for sale

A mobile coffee cart company called Twin Cylinder Coffee that often parks at Turtle Place in downtown Vancouver is for sale at $55,000.

The owner, Russ Golovko, 25, said he was spending too much time running the cart on top of attending school and working as a full-time electrician.

“It started getting out of control,” he said. “I can’t handle as much of it.”

Golovko wrote in the business listing that the cart has been “going to football games, weddings, markets, all with over 1,000 people and trailer held up like a tank.”

Golovko, of Vancouver, built the coffee cart out of a 6-by-12-foot trailer. He also made the custom black walnut countertops inside the cart by using his woodworking skills, he said.

“I built everything completely from the ground up,” he said. “It took me six months working all weekends every day.”

Vancouver holds about 24 food carts, according to Visit Vancouver USA, and Twin Cylinder is one of the newest. It opened in July.

Putting the cart up for sale “was a really tough decision,” he said.
