An 80-year-old woman died Saturday after she struck another vehicle in a roundabout.
The woman, who was not identified, was traveling through the roundabout intersecting Northeast 49th Street and Northeast 137th Avenue when she struck another vehicle on its passenger door side. The other driver, who was uninjured, and a bystander saw the elderly woman’s vehicle smoking and pulled her from the car, Vancouver Fire Department spokesman Bryan Fredrickson said.
The other driver and bystander called emergency crews and attempted CPR, but the woman died at the scene.
