The city of Vancouver is accepting grant applications for rental assistance programs. Up to $3 million is available through the Affordable Housing Fund for programs that help households who are either homeless, at risk of becoming homeless or earning up to 50 percent of the area median income.
Local government agencies, nonprofit groups and for-profits are eligible to apply for grant funding. Applications and additional information are online at www.cityofvancouver.us/affordablehousingfund.
An optional workshop for interested applicants is 10 a.m. March 12 at Vancouver City Hall, 415 W. Sixth St., in the Aspen Room. Applicants are due by April 1, and awards will be announced in June.
