Battle Ground Police investigating report of abuse at child care center

The Battle Ground Police Department is investigating a report of abuse at a child care center.

The police department received a report of alleged abuse Feb. 25 at Great Starts Child Development Center, 2400 N.W. Ninth Ave., according to a police news release.

Officers responded immediately, the news release says, and started an investigation. The police department said it has reported the alleged abuse to Child Protective Services.

Details about the alleged abuse were not included in the news release.

The investigation is ongoing, and the police department is coordinating with the Battle Ground prosecutor’s office. No arrests have been made.
