Sheriff’s office seeks help in sexual assault investigation

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help in investigating a sexual assault that occurred in February in the Truman neighborhood.

Deputies responded about 5:30 a.m. Feb. 27 for a report of a sexual assault in the area of Northeast 42nd Avenue and Northeast 44th Street, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

“At this time, the sheriff’s office is requesting the assistance of residents of this area who may have seen or have video footage of any suspicious individuals” between the hours of 4 and 7 that morning, the news release states.

The incident is being investigated by the Clark County Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information should contact Detective Fred Neiman at 564-397-2120 or at fred.neimanjr@clark.wa.gov.
