The Penguins opened the season with two wins over Green River (16-1, 10-2) and one over Olympic (14-3), plus one rainout (leading 3-2 in the 3rd) while playing Olympic at Bremerton.
Camas High grad Chad Stoner won the opener vs. Green River, allowing one run on four hits with seven strikeouts. Evergreen grad Taylor Birchem was 5 for 11 with three RBI in the three games.
