Movie theater chain AMC announced Monday that it has delayed the planned reopening date for its multiplexes to July 30.
The company had previously announced a July 15 date based, in part, on the release dates for the films “Mulan” and “Tenet,” which were previously scheduled for mid-July. Both films were recently delayed to August, and AMC’s Monday announcement said its new reopening date was intended to align with the films’ new schedules.
The company said it now plans to have its full complement of theaters up and running by early August, unless there are further complications from the coronavirus pandemic.
AMC operates two locations in Clark County: AMC Vancouver Mall 23 multiplex and AMC CLASSIC Mill Plain in east Vancouver.
