Vancouver police are investigating a drive-by shooting in the First Place neighborhood on Sunday.
Officers were dispatched at 2:47 a.m. to a report of multiple shots fired in the 1000 block of Northeast 151st Avenue.
As the officers responded, a 911 call came in from a victim who reported that her vehicle had been shot at while she was delivering newspapers, according to a Vancouver Police Department news release.
The woman was driving when bullets penetrated her windshield, barely missing her, police said.
She was evaluated by medics and found to be uninjured.
Additionally, an occupied home was also shot multiple times during the reported drive-by. No one inside was injured, police said.
The shooting appears to be associated with a home rented through Vrbo in the 1100 block of Northeast 151st Avenue, “where a large party was allegedly occurring,” according to the police department.
Vancouver police are looking for any additional witnesses or leads. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call the police department’s tip line at 360-487-7399. Any victims who have not reported property damage should call 311.
